Addressed Exterior Building Enclosure Systems
A key component of GCI’s services for this project included quality control inspections and field testing, highlighting both the enjoyable and challenging facets. Moreover, the project demanded expert coordination of various systems following adherence to a construction schedule. This included YKK storefront systems with sill receptors, sections of exterior metal framed walls, Laticrete exterior wall systems with adhered stone veneer, and exterior roof sections with pedestal pavers. Overall, the GCI team utilized their expertise in building enclosure engineering consulting to help ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of these intricate components.
Built by The Weitz Company, the “43,711-square-foot courthouse building includes a secure public lobby with bullet resistant glass and a metal detector; one courtroom with extensive mahogany-stained millwork and intricate barreled ceilings with glass reinforced panels; 14 judicial suites; and a courtyard on the second floor of the courthouse located directly above the courtroom.” Read the full project article here.
