Christopher Matthews is President and a Principal Consultant for GCI Consultants and has been a member of the GCI team since 2002. He has over 35 years of experience working with building envelopes, specializing in the design, installation, water infiltration resistance, performance assessment, and hurricane readiness of these systems.

He has consulted with owners, architects, engineers, insurers, and builders on hundreds of projects in 45 of the 50 United States, throughout North America, and in several Caribbean countries. In addition, he serves as a litigation support consultant and expert witness in disputes related to building envelope installation, performance, and design.

Matthews has worked extensively in the successful design and construction of new buildings of all types and the forensic investigation and repair of existing structures with envelope performance problems. He is a member of various industry organizations and has published several technical articles in industry periodicals and is a frequent speaker and presenter to other industry professionals.
